Hey! (The monday update)

Hey there! As you know, I'm very comfortable these days (Ahhh, vacations!) but I shouldn't be. I'll start university in just 3 weeks, can you believe that?

Bye bye lazy days! No more going to bed at 1am and waking up at 11. Oh well...

Anyway, let's talk about some things that are in my mind right now.

University

As I mentioned before. Honestly I can't wait to start. I'm tired of doing nothing and being such a lazy ass. Some of my friends started today and I have to say, I feel kinda sorry for them but jealous at the same time. Ahh, I said it!

Fashion

Fall collections are all over the place right now. I can't believe it. Summer's ending, and it just happened so quickly. I remember that we were celebrating my birthday yesterday (Not really, but you know).

And then fashion week will come and blogs will be full of street style photos. Well, more like 'people coming out of the shows' photos. People dressed from head to toe in designer clothes and crazy prints.

Even my illustrations are dressing for Fall!* I've made a wishlist, of all the things I want. I'll share it in another post.

Music

I've been listening to Paracosm (the new album by Washed Out) lately, and I have to say it's dreamy. I love it, every song is just perfect.

And also The Radio Dept. They're soooo cool, did I mention I love dream pop? Well, you should totally check them out!

Personal Care

I ride my bike a lot, you probaly know that. But lately I've been staying at home for like the whole day. And I can't find any motivation to ride again.

And believe it or not, since I'm not really coming out of my home. I've been doing a lot of bodyweight exercises and yoga. And I have to say that I feel pretty great!

Another thing is that I changed my razor. It was about time for me to throw the match 3. I'm using a Fusion ProGlide now, have you tried it? do you like it? let me know!

And that's it for now. It's not a bad monday after all, eh? What about you? Do you have any plans for today? Something you'd like to share? Tell me about it!

ZARA AW13 Man

I know I've been talking a lot about campaigns lately but ohh, I just can't help it. I'm an aesthetic lover.

I'm always like that when a new campaign comes out, if I like it, I feel like I have the urge to talk about it on the blog. And that's exactly how I felt when I first saw this campaign. Here's what I think about it and some of my favorite photos.

First of all, Boo George is a great, great great photographer, I worship his work because I think it's just fantastic the way his pictures are always very clean and simple yet very powerful at the same time.

And we can't leave the models behind. Yuri Pleskun (I thought he dissappeared from the face of the earth), Arthur Gosse and Marlon Teixeira showcased such a great mood for the collection. Very strong indeed.

Their facial expressions and deep lost gazes match perfectly with those so sober, yet powerful attires. Giving the campaign photographs an attractive shine coming for this season, making the consumers be mad about buying the clothes.

As for the collection; I want to kill myself right now, let me explain you. I spent the day outside, I got a haircut and then did a little shopping at... ...Zara. As you know, everything's on sale right now so I only paid attention to the pieces that were on sale when I was shopping. And then I come home and see people on the internet talking about how awesome the new Zara collection and campaign are.

ARGHH, I just want to kill myself, every piece is perfect. From the knits to the pants and blazers, even the underwear(?) Ohh and don't forget the coats, they're pretty awesome too!

What do you think about the campaign? Do you like it?

ZARA AW13 Woman

Okay. This video is perfect. Caroline Brasch, Juliane Gruner, Julia Nobis and Ashleigh Good did a perfect job when modeling for it. The way they're running, the dramatic yet modern music, everything is just marvelous.

I don't normally blog about womenswear but I thought this season's collection is great. We've seen a lot of inspiration from big fashion houses like Céline, Balenciaga and Saint Laurent for this season. The looks are great and I personally think that plaid red jacket is fantastic, as well as the hats and the coats, they look pretty cool

I also wonder why are the models running... I mean it looks so cool, but maybe it's a resemblance for this season's dramatic weather and clothes. What do you think it may mean?

Inspired: Kris Van Assche SS14 backstage

Kris Van Assche is such a good designer, his collections won't stop surprising me. And I personally loved what he did for his Spring/Summer 2014 collection, the way he focused on simple, strong and solid colors was just great as well as the polka dots and the minimal look (I'm such a fool for minimalism, but you already know that).

Well, moving to another subject... ...I wanted to talk about how much I love these pictures, I think Dirk Alexander did such a great job when capturing the backstage moments. When I first looked at the pictures, I thought it was for a campaign or something like that, but then I realized they were just the backstage pictures! Cool no?

What do you think about Kris Van Assche SS14 collection?
