Summer Reign

The sun, the hot weather... ahh it feels like summer will never end.

I mean, it's so hot I'm about to melt. It's somehow annoying. That's why yesterday, I decided to wear this outfit. It's decent and comfortable enough to work in the heat (I was on a film set yesterday, I know, I know!! we'll talk about it soon).

Everything's from Zara. The trousers are so comfortable, I've been wearing them a lot lately and the polo shirt is very light and I think that makes it perfect. But honestly I can't wait for fall, even though there's not a huge difference between seasons in my country, the weather just gets a bit better. I have to say, I love summer but I've had enough for this year.

And speaking of summer... The super cool band Coastal Cities released this song a few days ago and I'm totally in love with it. It's just perfect, and I don't know why but for me it feels like a sunset (I'm so weird) Okay, enough. Here's the song, I hope you like it!

My essentials: Oxford shoes

They say you can judge a man by his shoes, I think that's true. And that's one of the reasons why I try to stick to the classic ones as much as possible, you know.

Especially oxford shoes, they're simply perfect. They're such a classic and timeless piece. I think everyone should own at least two pairs of black oxfords, becuase they can work with almost any outfit (like jeans and a button down shirt, for example).

I can tell you, these ones on the picture have saved me in so many occasions. That's why they're part of my essentials. Yup, I owe them my life, kind of.

So, if you're having second thoughts about which kind of shoe you want to buy, don't think too much about it and just go for some oxfords. Trust me, you won't regret it. Just, remember to choice them wisely and take good care of them*, that way you won't fuck up.

What about you? Do you have a favorite pair of shoes? Tell me about them!

*I know, I have to buy shoe trees, ugh. Any recommendations?
PS: These are from Zara.
PPS: Yes, I love reading magazines, I splurge on them :(

My own fall lookbook

Ahh lookbooks, I love them with all my heart but, to be honest, I think I've seen loads of them this season. Really, they're kind of everywhere; Pinterest, Tumblr, ugh.

You know that I always like to share my love for a good lookbook or campaign. But you know what? Since I'm a bit tired of the 'lookbook explosion' (can I say that?), I've decided to create my own for this fall. Yup, that's it. Let me explain you...

Sadly it's not an illustrated lookbook, I'd love to do it, but I don't have that much time. So, I decided to explain what I'll actually wear and what I'd love to wear for fall. This was the first thing that came to my mind:

Knitwear:
It's just necessary for the season. And I've developed some kind of obsession towards any kind of knit. Yeah, so this fall it will be knitwear all the way. I have my eyes on this cardigan by Jil Sander.

Jackets:
Maybe a varsity, I'm still looking for the perfect one, it should be black or maybe burgundy, I'll let you know when I find a decent one.

Shirts:
You probably know how much I love plaid. I wear plaid shirts a lot. Especially for fall, for me it's just perfectly fine. And I think plaid shirts look good on almost everyone, that's why they're on my list. Right now I'm loving this one by Gant Rugger.

Pants:
I'm looking for something classic but that fits perfectly at the same time, with a dark shade of grey. Maybe something like this. I've also set my eyes on Acne jeans, they're just perfect.

Shoes:
I'm so into brogues, I'm never satisfied. But when it comes to wearing them, I kind of forget and always put on some sneakers. I don't know about you, but I love being comfortable. Maybe I just need new chucks? Or these ones by Common Projects.

Fragrance:
My favorite fragrance for fall has always been Touch by Burberry. It's sooo good. Strong and fresh, it smells incredible. I don't know why but it reminds me of wood. It's definitely the best.

...

So yeah. I think that's it, no coats for me (even when it's fall, the temperature is still hot in this island). I've created my own fall lookbook... or maybe wishlist, I have to say. Well I don't even know, the point is that these are the ideal things for me to wear this fall. I know it's still summer and everything but, fall is around the corner already.

What about you? Do you have a wishlist or maybe your own fall lookbook too? Tell me about it!

ZARA AW13 Man

I know I've been talking a lot about campaigns lately but ohh, I just can't help it. I'm an aesthetic lover.

I'm always like that when a new campaign comes out, if I like it, I feel like I have the urge to talk about it on the blog. And that's exactly how I felt when I first saw this campaign. Here's what I think about it and some of my favorite photos.

First of all, Boo George is a great, great great photographer, I worship his work because I think it's just fantastic the way his pictures are always very clean and simple yet very powerful at the same time.

And we can't leave the models behind. Yuri Pleskun (I thought he dissappeared from the face of the earth), Arthur Gosse and Marlon Teixeira showcased such a great mood for the collection. Very strong indeed.

Their facial expressions and deep lost gazes match perfectly with those so sober, yet powerful attires. Giving the campaign photographs an attractive shine coming for this season, making the consumers be mad about buying the clothes.

As for the collection; I want to kill myself right now, let me explain you. I spent the day outside, I got a haircut and then did a little shopping at... ...Zara. As you know, everything's on sale right now so I only paid attention to the pieces that were on sale when I was shopping. And then I come home and see people on the internet talking about how awesome the new Zara collection and campaign are.

ARGHH, I just want to kill myself, every piece is perfect. From the knits to the pants and blazers, even the underwear(?) Ohh and don't forget the coats, they're pretty awesome too!

What do you think about the campaign? Do you like it?
