Eighteen

Yesterday, I turned eighteen years old. I had a great time with my family and friends, we talked, we drank and we laughed a lot. But I'm not going to talk about the blast I had yesterday... I'm going to talk about... mmm.. life (?).

I know it sounds weird, but for a second, turning 18 made me think about that.

Maybe it's because I have to make big decisions (like choosing a career) and I'll start seeing everything from a very different perspective. But that's good, it makes you grow in a possitive way. I've learnt to not tie myself to anything. I've learnt to do things carefully. I've learnt to appreciate all the small things and moments of this life.

Now, everyday, I see life as a film. A film that's going to have one of the most amazing endings in history.

About my spring break; well, I've had a really great time so far! I'll post a photo diary in a few days.

Things to do on spring break

My Spring break just started!! Ohh I love this time of the year, the cold weather is finally going away, and my birthday's next week!

But some people (like me) still have nothing to do exactly, it's not that I'm a boring person haha, I just didn't have the time to think about things to do this spring break. But! let's just make a very short list of some things I'd totally love to do.

  • Watch tons of movies. Including The Perks of Being a Wallflower, I've heard it's a really great and beautiful movie. But, should I read the book first? I'd also like to watch Side Effects, I was going to see it with a friend yesterday but we got a bit late and we watched A Good Day To Die Hard instead.

  • Download more music. Seriously, I just have like 1,010 songs on my phone, and I'm getting a little bit tired of listening to the same thing. As you know I'm into rock, indie and probably jazz (any suggestions?)

  • Learn how to surf. That's a difficult one. My uncle surfs a lot and he always wanted to teach me how to do it. The thing is, I thought it was a very dangerous sport but, oh well I think the time is now.

  • Do my homework. Can you believe that?! Even on Spring break I have school assignments, *sigh*. But it's okay because there's only a math, physics and history practice*. Oh and two exams, how cool is that? (note sarcasm).

  • Play more tennis. It's my favourite sport, and it's been a while since I last practiced because all this cycling and running thing had me busy for a while.

  • Drink!! This is a very important one, my 18th birthday is coming, so we need to celebrate!! And when I say celebrate, I mean it.

  • Take more pictures. I have to say it, it's the perfect time of the year to take pictures. Days are close to twelve hours long and this season's colors are the best ones! I've been thinking about getting a film camera to make it more interesting, what do you think?

Well I think that's it for now. Spring break it's just the right time to forget about everything and try to realx for a few days, right? What about you? Do you anything on mind for this spring break? Tell me about it!

Weekend Diaries XIII: Las Terrenas

Okay guys; we went to Las Terrenas for the weekend. The most amazing, beautiful and magical beach in this country. I've been here before, and if you're following me on instagram, you know what I've been up to. Well, let me tell you how it was.

We spent 2 hours in the road as usual, and we drove through the new highway (which is sooo awesomely awesome) okay enough, here's the only picture I liked from the ones I shot on our way there.

When we arrived, it was so cold and cloudy. I kinda wanted to cry, I mean the beach is supposed to be warm and sunny, right? We (me and my sisters) decided to go for a little walk down the beach. We walked through some kind of secret passage we found on the beach, and it led us to a super cool villa.

The next morning, I woke up at 7:30a.m. It was finally sunny and hot. We wanted to go for another walk and then we got back to the house. That time we took a dive into the pool and we suddenly forgot about everything.

Our official drink for Las Terrenas: Eristoff Black + Cranberry juice. You should definitely try it!
Some random dog in the beach.
Diana's cold feet.

As you can see, it made us very happy! The fact that we're back in the city makes me a bit sad actually. But oh well, we have to face reality right? Now it's time to get everything ready for the routine (ughh). Well, I hope you've all had a great weekend as well!!

PS: For the next time, I promise I will take better pictures.

PULL & BEAR SS13

When I first saw these Pull & Bear images for their Spring/Summer 2013 campaign, I felt like they were just taken for a movie poster or something haha.

It has some kind of bohemian/hippie vibe and it also reminds a bit of Star Wars (?). I think the location (the desert region of the Canary Islands) was just perfect for the campaign, I'd love to shoot in a place like that! The models were also great, especially Valerija Sestic, she's got such a strong expression, I love it!

Enough said, let's talk about the collection. First of all, it's amazing. Everything is perfect, from the camouflage printed shirts to the graphic t-shirts. From the lace details to the printed jackets. The details of the clothes are simply stunning and the colors are just great! The collection seems to have a lot of Aztec inspiration as we can see on some of the sweaters, I think that's really cool!
