My Sketchbook

Yeaaaah, I finally have a new sketchbook!!

I mean, it's been a while since I last had one, you know? So, I've been on this eternal search for the perfect one. My moleskine sketchbook was fine but I think I filled it so quickly, I needed more. That's why I've been looking for one that's a little bigger and with more sheets.

When I found this, I thought it was the right one. Black, the perfect size and the right number of sheets. And guess what?! I've been sketching every day, it's like I can't stop now!

Well, enough said! Let's take a look at some of the things I've done so far...

And yes, there's a lot more. Believe me. I have a lot of ideas coming out of my mind right now and I have really cool projects that I'm dying to show you. And I will one of these days! Stay tuned.

Sooo, tell me about you. Do you draw? Is it hard for you to find a perfect sketchbook or do you just buy anything you see? Let me know!

PS: The sketchbook is made by Canson :)

Paulette / Hostos St.

Here's another photo of my friend Paulette!

I have to tell you something, Paulette is such a nice friend! She has Italian origins and believe it or not, we share the same passion for images and good music (it's very difficult to find someone with the same interests as me).

Last Friday we went to her grandma's house as I told you, to do a little bit of exploring around the Colonial Zone. I loved her look, but then the weather started being a bitch so she had to take her sweater off. Thank God I had the chance to take a picture!

Weekend Diaries XIV

Hey there!

Yesterday I went to the Colonial Zone of my country and here are some of the pictures I told you I was going to take. It was quite a good day and I actually loved it!

I went there with my friend Paulette and we walked like never before, seriously. I got there at 11 am and we visited a lot of places. We discovered a lot of new places and it was great. So, let me tell you a little bit about the exploring day that was....

Paulette's grandparents live there, so we just walked down the street.

We first found a very interesting bazaar with all kinds of things, paintings, lamps, and really weird objects that I've never seen in my life before, it was so amazing.

When we got out of there, we went to this little but fantastic gelateria called 'Cinco Gelato' and it's just sooooo good. I tried the oreo flavor and it was totally worth it. The place was great and they had very good music playing (Feist*).

After that, we walked a little bit more and we visited a super cool art gallery. I don't really remember the name but it was fantastic! They have a lot of very nice sculptures and breathtaking paintings there!

Then, we went to a really beautiful garden and we were so exhausted that we had to sit there for a while. After that, we discovered some of the most beautiful hidden places of the colonial zone, it was so inspiring.

We stopped at a super cool project that's under construction, it's some kind of villa and the architecture of that place is just too beautiful, it's kind of classic but with a very modern twist.

Ahhh, I think I've said too much now! Today I'll probably visit some museums, if you want to see more pictures, you can visit my VSCO Grid or my Instagram.

*Yes, I like Feist.

On the Street... Sarah.

This is my friend Sarah. I met with her yesterday to discuss a project that we have in mind. Sadly, we ended making jokes and watching vine videos the whole afternoon, ahh. I can't help it, that always happens when I see my friends.

I loved the way she looked. I think the orange trousers, the bi-color cardigan and that print blouse worked perfect together. Sarah has always been a very stylish person and the best thing is that she doesn't try so hard. And I have to say, that's always what I'm looking for when I'm taking photographs.

The only bad thing is that the sky turned cloudy and that's why the photos have some kind of grey tone. But I think it looks nice at the same time.

Right now she's studying advertising (like I will) and she told me it's a whole different world. She has to do a lot of things now, from editing videos to taking pictures and drawing, something that she never liked and now she's actually kind of enjoying it. Now she's got her pencils all the time with her, and I think that's so cool!
She even showed me some of her sketches and I have to say, they're pretty good. I'll probably post them here or on instagram anytime soon. She also told me that the students are a bit crazy, but in a nice way and the teachers are pretty cool too.

The only thing that she told me that's not really awesome is the virtual class. She doesn't really love to send her homework via internet. But oh, well... what can I say?

And that's it. That's what happening in Sarah's life right now. Sounds interesting, no?

Changing the subject a little bit... Today I'll be taking more and more photographs (not only street style), I'm very excited! I seriously can't wait to see what I find on the streets :)

What about you? Are you doing anything interesting today? Let me know!
