Youth in revolt

Guys, I think I'm missing something. And that's life. Sounds weird, I know. But let me explain

Last week, I was celebrating (kind of, I was a bit sick) my birthday with some friends at home.

We spent some time talking and making some jokes, until we decided to play drinking games. You know I love drinking, right? Well, we started to play this little game... "Never have I ever" (I mean, we've all been there) and to be honest, it's a game that I enjoy. Ok, I sound like an alcoholic...

Anyway, we spent a while playing that. I'll say the first questions were pretty normal, nothing I've never done (yeah, ask Victor, the pro) It was shot after shot after shot. Until my friends started to set the bar higher:

"Never have I ever smoked weed"
"Never have I ever slept in another bed"
"Never have I ever had sex with two different people in one week"

Aha I know. The list goes on and on. And you know what? I was the only one who wasn't drinking. It's not like I'm a saint but I'm not a demon either.

Now, I don't feel bad. But, should I? Somehow that made me think quite a lot about my teenage years. Maybe I'm not taking advantage of them. Ahhh, well.

You tell me... Is it too late for me now? Or are my friends too early? Is this youth in revolt?

Style story n2 / Yamil

Here's Yamil. He's Daniela's brother.

I also wanted to shoot a style story with him for a long time. And a few weeks ago, I had the pleasure to do it. Yamil is interested in fashion, art and hip hop culture, he's got a very interesting collection of images on his Tumblr (warning, NSFW). And, he's working on his own clothing brand. Great, no? We'll talk about that in another post.

Well, here are some of the pictures I shot. Hope you like them!

Some essentials

Ahh, it's getting hotter and hotter every day guys (Spring's hereeeee). Winter is officially gone in my country and that sucks. Don't get me wrong, I love Spring. But living in an island is not easy. It obviously has its perks, I'll write a post about that later.

Anyway, before we get deeply into all the Spring stuff, I wanted to show you some of my essentials for this season's transition. I've been carrying/using these items almost everyday, well, some of them... Ok here's the list:

Kodak Star camera: I found this film camera a few weeks ago, it belonged to my Grandma. Yeah, she was a photography junkie -I've got it in my genes!- It's a point and shoot camera but it does the job. I'm thinking about getting some Kodak Portra 400 film for it. Do you have any tips?

Vintage watch: It used to be one of my dad's watch when he was younger (yes, I steal everything #sorrynotsorry) I love the simplicity of it and the fact that it's just light enough. Just perfect.

Grey Flannel cologne: To be honest, the smell of this cologne it's pretty strong, like really. But I kinda like it (sometimes) and I love the bottle... arghhh, who understands me right?!!

Canson sketchbook: I wrote a post about it. And I'll say it again, the size is perfect and it's so light for me to carry around with all the stuff for university: sketchbooks, paper, folders, pencils, paint... you name it. It's like a nightmare. Really.

Pens and pencils: You know, just so I can sketch and write down all the ideas that come to my mind, which almost never happens is all the time . I have some more in different shades, of course. They're Staedtler, my favorite ones.

And there you have it. The 'essentials'... yeah ok.

What about you? Do you have some essentials for season transition? Tell me about them!

P.S.: Should I change the post's title to 'I'm a thief?' lol ok, I'm just kidding.

P.P.S.: #sorrynotsorry is becoming one of my favorite hashtags, annnnddd.. I should stop using it. Ok I should stop using hashtags in general.

P.P.P.S.: Sorry for the iPhone picture, I'm just having too much fun with it.

P.P.P.P.S.: Yeah, it seems like I'm forgetting about the 'fashion and style' part of this blog. But I'm not, I have a bunch of content, it's just not the right time to post it.
