Friday Stills pt. 5

Hello!

Here's another still life 'story' for Friday. I wanted to do something inspired by Fall for this; but as you can see, it turned out to look more like Winter, don't you think?

Well, I loved the results anyway. Can you believe it took me a whole day to shoot and edit these photographs? So crazy! I know. I mean, it always takes quite a while to organize the set and everything, but I think I broke the record this time, hahah!

To be honest, I've never really been a candle person. It's just not my thing. Until the kind folks at Prospector Co (yes, again. Everything they do is just too good. I can't stop claiming my love) sent me this one, which is just superb. It smells incredibly good (like all their products) and it is just great to have it on your table. Because honestly, the design is just perfect. Just look:

I know, I know... But ok. Anyway, as you can see, the book are kind of beaten. I found them in my grandpa's house, they used to be my mom's. And I thought: hmmm, these could work. And there you have it! That's how I created these Friday Stills. Without mentioning the retouching process (which was a pain, if you ask me). Hope you like it, have a great Friday!

Monday morning

My love/hate relationship with Monday mornings started two months ago. Sometimes I loved the idea of waking up early, you know, a fresh start. And sometimes, it was just impossible for me to get out of bed and I just wanted to stay inside all week day long.

To be honest, I don't have a 'morning routine' if that's how you call it. Sometimes I shave, eat a super good breakfast, do some exercise... And sometimes I just don't. It depends on my mood.

And you know what I find the most difficult sometimes? Shaving. There, I said it. It takes such a looonggg time for me to get a perfect shave. Sometimes it's even boring, you know? That's why I almost always skip a day (or two).

But once I found out about Prospector Co. products, I wanted to die. Seriously, they're just too good!! I really encourage you to try them. They're organic, smell great and just look at that package. They're simply to die for. The shave cream smells sooooo so so so good, it's a weird thing to say, but it reminds me a little bit of the sea. And I love that. Their K.C. Atwood aftershave is also great. GREAT! It smells like citrus and it is just so refreshing!

Oh, and the Acacia shaving brush is incredibly soft. You should try it too!

Well, I have to say, these products have completely changed the way I shave now. They leave my skin just right and clean. Just the way I like it. So yeah, I really think you guys should try them!

From last weekend

Hello!

Last weekend I went to the Colonial City with some friends. Well, I think you probably know how much I love that place, right? My friend Paulette was waiting for me in a restaurant, Dario and Yoandy were also there. We had a few drinks and then we walked a little bit. Ok, a lot, actually.

It's amazing how I never get tired of it. There's something in the atmosphere that makes it such a relaxed and easy place. Perfect if you have nothing to do on a Saturday afternoon. The buildings, the restaurants, the cafes, the art... To be honest, sometimes it feels like you're somewhere else. We went to this place called La Castilla, and to be honest, it was wonderful. I might do a post about it soon. These are some iPhone snaps from that day, hope you like them!

About

I started to take pictures when I was fourteen. That's how it all started. I created my blog in May 2008 to share my photos and some thoughts.

Time passed. It was 2011. Feeling inspired by Garance Doré, Scott Schuman and Nirrimi, I decided to post some of my illustrations, and fashion photos to communicate in a different way. Now I write about my daily life, fashion, inspiration, style, and music. I've done test shoots for models and I am also available for advertising campaigns and lookbooks. Feel free to contact me for photography and/or illustration work.
